Recently I went for my very first Palo reading. I was told what steps I should take and what my future would be in Palo. I had many questions I wanted to ask the palero about the Palo religion. But being that it was my first time there, I didnt want to seem disrespectful or rude.

The main question I had was who exactly inhabits or rules the nganga??? The Palero told me the iron cauldron was Ogun but that elements of the dead were also contained within it. So my question to everyone is what spirit lives in the pot? Is it Ogun or the dead??? Is the nganga run 50% by Ogun and 50% by the dead??? Do both Ogun and the dead somehow work together????

first of all i ask for licence to every tata here.. then i think i can answer that question..mercedita first ogum is a deity from people called lucumi those people are yoruba descend he ogum is the powerfull orisa that represent civilitation and one of his simbols is of course every tecnological implement as iron ,knives..and computers. ogum has nothing to do with paleros he is a yoruba god but......

Ogun does NOT live in any Nganga. The palero was probably attempting to compare his pot, which would be Zarabanda, to Lukumi so that you would understand what kind of energy was contained in the Nganga, and in Kimbisa and several Palo Monte ramas, alot of syncretism is in place with Santeria.

Sala Malecum,Ese fundamento que te dijo el palero es un fundamento de Zarabanda no de Oggun. La diferiencia es que Uno es Camino lucumi y Zarabanda es camino de palo. No te confundas con las dos religiones al empesar porque sino no aprendes bien. Estudia el palo para que no te confundan.

Speaking of the nganga, I was wondering something. When godchildren in a munanso don't get along, how is this handled spiritually? As long as they aren't throwing on each other, does the kongo of the house just sit back and watch? Or does he step in and demand peace? I've been around when Nzasi has come and reprimanded godchildren for throwing brujos on each other. But my question is, if there's only friction going on would a Mpunga react angry as well or just let it ride?
